DVE Aquatic is growing its Water Polo arm. It’s a great fun game in teams basically playing keepings off and throwing goals. HOW MUCH FUN IS THAT!
We currently have three Open Men’s and one Open Women’s teams competing in the Water Polo Victoria State League Summer Competition. In addition there are our under 16 boys team, our under 14 boys team and our under 12 mixed team.
Our aim is to begin to introduce Water Polo to junior swimmers/players 8 years and upward throughout the Northern suburbs something that has been missing for a long time. (See Flippa Ball below).
At the moment DVE Aquatic are in the process of building numbers and developing our training program. Stay tuned! Training is offered on Friday nights, Sundays and Monday nights.
Flippa Ball is to Water Polo what AUSKICK is to AFL and MILO Cricket is to Cricket. With modified rules and the ability to stand up in the water it is an ideal introduction to Water Polo.
Generally played in teams of 6 + a goal keeper and up to 6 interchange players, teams play keepings off by passing the ball around whilst moving it forward and shooting goals. How much fun is that in the water?
Age group 8 to 12 but as the kids get some experience and want to take it further there are under 12 Water Polo teams and training available. To check out Water Polo and Flippa Ball further go to Water Polo Victoria or Water Polo Australia
